ABSTRACT
The proposed work is envisaged to carry out the preformulation, optimization, development of in-situ orifice forming osmotic tablets and then formulation and evaluation of osmotic tablets. In-situ pore former osmotic tablet of Imipramine is the one which suit the concept of better patient compliance, delayed release, more efficacies, enough bioavailability to show required pharmacological action and less gastrointestinal side effects. Thus it was planned to formulate develop and evaluate antianxiety osmotic tablet.
